Brendon Prince has circumnavigated mainland Britain in 141 days. He has broken records, paddled over 4000km, welcomed support from around the country and more importantly is a step closer to realising his dream creating a water safety based app.
The Long Paddle began 141 days ago in Torquay, UK with Brendon Prince setting off to circumnavigate mainland Britain on a SUP. His goal was to raise awareness of water safety and to create an app based around learning the dangers and hazards in the ocean. This goal is now a step closer with so many local businesses, individuals and corporations sponsoring and supporting the cause.
When we first heard of Brendon setting off to paddle around Britain, we were slightly sceptical. 4000km of paddling through changing weather conditions and battling the mental game can be tough, but Brendon showed us that determination, a well planned route with backup options and a positive attitude can get through anything. We’re all very impressed and proud of Brendon completing this mammoth journey, one that has broken long distance paddling records, circumnavigation records and many more.
Keep an eye out in the near future of our catch up with Brendon, breaking down the whole journey and speaking to him about the motivations, challenges, logistics and his mental preparation. If you want your questions answered by Brendon, please use the contact form below to submit your questions.
CONGRATULATIONS BRENDON!
