It’s all about layering correctly. Cal goes through her best equipment but also recommends that you find your own layering system that works for you.

The most important times to keep warm on the water are before you start paddling and after you finish. If you are not warm before you start, it is hard to warm up quickly and when you stop paddling in winter, your body temperature drops rapidly – so make sure you have the right layers and the correct gear to keep you warm. Remember, you can always take off layers, but you can’t put more on when on the water!
