On the mens side, Blue Ewer took a wild gamble on the last lap, changing sides on the river, that yielded him an epic come from behind victory for his maiden win on the Euro Tour. On the same group, Eri Tenorio and Ollie Houghton took the same line for an epic finish in second and third place respectively. A tough break for Michael Booth who led most of the race until the last lap and settled for 4th. Connor Baxter also led early on  in the race and closed the Top5 in his first long distance in a while.

The women side was another roller coaster. Right from the start Espe Barreras looked set for another victory but it wasn’t without drama from the two French competitors who almost stole the show by choosing a complete different line in the river. In second, Duna Gordillo also was a bit lost in the river changing sides multiple times. In an impressive third place was Iona Rivet who nearly stole the show, being overtaken at the very end by the Spanish duo. With the same strategy Fanny Tessier did a great performance for 4th. On a tight battle for the line MariCarmen Rivera closed the Top5 with another great performance.

The kid’s race in the morning were exciting and everyone enjoyed the come waters away from the strong currents of the main river. We want to thank @chrismdll & his entire team at @lesmarinsdelalune for a great effort and working tirelessly to bring back an International event to France.
