North Launches Updated 2026 Wingfoil Freeride Range

North has unveiled its updated 2026 Wingfoil Freeride collection, with new wings and redesigned foilboards – including a notable nod towards the rapidly growing foil-assist market.

The new collection includes the Nova, Nova Pro and light-wind focused Loft Pro wings, alongside updated Seek, Seek Pro and Swell Pro foilboards.

Perhaps the most interesting development comes across the board range. All three models now feature a dedicated 2.4GHz signal window designed to make them Foil Drive ready, showing how integrated foil-assist compatibility is increasingly becoming part of mainstream foilboard design.

The Seek has also undergone a significant shape update, moving towards a longer and narrower outline with a low-entry rocker and new tri-plane hull. North says the changes improve on-water speed and allow the board to release earlier and more cleanly onto foil.

The performance-focused Seek Pro follows a similar tri-plane hull concept in a lighter carbon construction, while the Swell Pro remains the more surf-orientated option, with a narrower outline and longer planing surface designed to combine earlier lift with tighter turns and deeper carves.

It’s an interesting evolution of North’s freeride range – particularly as foil-assist systems continue to influence the way brands approach board construction and design.
