M2O: Molokai 2 Oahu SUP & Foil - 2026
Few races carry the history and prestige of the MolokaÊ»i 2 OÊ»ahu Paddleboard World Championships. Crossing the 32-mile Kaiwi Channel remains one of ocean paddling’s greatest tests, with the 2026 edition once again producing outstanding performances across prone paddleboarding, SUP and foil. While the racing delivered world-class performances, the event also highlighted the changing landscape of stand up paddling, with many of the sport’s top ocean athletes now splitting their focus between SUP and foiling.

Gorge Ultra Distance - SUP Downwind - 2026
The inaugural Gorge Ultra Distance proved there is still huge appetite for SUP-only downwind racing. Held on 12 July in the Columbia River Gorge, USA, the 17-mile race deliberately put stand up paddling centre stage, attracting many of the sport’s biggest names alongside emerging talent and recreational paddlers. A shorter 7-mile course also opened the event up to a wider field, helping create one of the most talked-about new races of the year.

Foiling Week - 2026
Held from 27 June to 5 July in Malcesine on Italy’s Lake Garda, the 13th edition of Foiling Week once again brought together the global foiling community for nine days of racing, innovation and hands-on experiences. Recognised by World Sailing as a Special Event, the festival welcomed athletes, designers, manufacturers, national federations and foiling enthusiasts across a wide range of disciplines, including Moth, WASZP, ETF26, BirdyFish, wingfoil, e-foil, pump foil and the Surf Foil World Tour’s downwind and parawing competitions. Alongside the racing, visitors could enjoy equipment trials, the Foiling Sport Congress, technical workshops and public experiences, reinforcing Foiling Week’s reputation as one of the sport’s leading annual gatherings. A standout moment was the crowning of the first Surf Foil World Tour Downwind Parawing World Champions, highlighting the rapid growth of one of foiling’s newest disciplines.
