Starboard Launches Second-Generation Viva Wing for 2027

Starboard has unveiled its 2027 Viva Wing, introducing revised shaping, two new construction options and a tool-free boom connection. Pre-orders are open, with first deliveries scheduled for December 2026.

The second-generation Viva has been developed to deliver increased stiffness and responsiveness, with Starboard claiming improvements in forward drive, lift and control.

A key update is the Tool-Free Anchor Boom system. Using Dyneema connections in place of screws, the design aims to simplify assembly while maintaining a rigid, direct connection between rider and wing.

Two construction options

The new Viva comes in H2 Reflex and Carbon Frame constructions, offering different approaches to weight, stiffness and performance.

H2 Reflex is the performance-focused option, using Starboard’s latest woven Ultra-PE material. It is available in sizes from 3.0 to 7.0m².

Carbon Frame combines an HTD Dacron airframe with integrated carbon stringers to increase stiffness while keeping weight and cost accessible. Sizes range from 2.5 to 7.0m².

Availability

Pre-orders opened in October, with the first deliveries expected in December 2026. Riders can register their interest through Starboard and contact their local dealer for ordering information.
