The first event of the Euro Tour 2025 in Düsseldorf Germany for the indoor World Cup was a great success. Big upsets & fantastic performances made for a spectacular finals day.

For the women’s final Sprint event, it was a fierce battle between Alba Frey and Mariecarmen Rivera. At first it looked like Maricearmen, the 2024 EuroTour champion, had it under control, but after a fall on the buoy turn, it gave Alba Frey, the Spanish native, the edge for the win after a fantastic contest.
For the men’s Sprint, Manuel Hoyuela defeated Ivan de Frutos showing the incredible momentum of the Spanish contingent. Manuel on his birthday nonetheless , convincingly won his maiden gold, while Ivan was not far off after an epic contest.
