Excellent… looking forward to the review, I’m interested to know if the 4’11” would work for kite & prone foiling… as you’ve got a 5’3″ do you think you could get it in the surf or under a kite? cheers

I have a 5,5 arriving next month… hopefully. Currently have a foil delivered from them which is making a lovely brew stand til I get my board to attach it to. 5m wing next week I hope.

Nice one guys – don’t understand Gong’s attitude to reviews, and that’s coming from a happy customer fully kitted up with their wings, board and foils. Are you including their wing (Pulse) in your wing mega test?

Likely that my next board will be a small inflatable so looking forward to your review…

Hi guys, this is great as I am looking to go into foilling and that was the one I was thinking for the board with an XL foil.

I do not understand why Gong are so against reviews.

I have been using their SUP for so long and they are great.

Thanks for that.

I have a F-One 5’10” 125L rocket air. While it’s plenty stiff and I can Foil quite well on it. The main drawbacks are that it’s harder to get up on the foil compared to my 5’10” 110 Naish S25 hardboard; when the inflatable board goes underwater, it can stick and be difficult, whereas the hardboard seems to slide up to the surface; in swell/choppy water with a crosswind, the waves can push the inflatable board underneath you. Meaning it’s less stable in chop, especially if you are crossing the swell/wind direction. I think the Gong carbon plate with the… Read more »

I have an hipe 7,5 . Really like the board.
the thing you said about the screws damaging the board is ,not right .
the different screws are for the different topplates (manufacturing year Of tYpe)
you can never touch the board with the screws because you screw them in to foil and foot strap insertS.

how thick the board is , is on the carbon plate

pumping by hand just just an 12v car pump . You can get you’re wetsuit on while you’re board gets inflated.

Any news on the review of this board? Looking at this as a beginner board but not sure what length to go with. 5.5 or 6.5. (80kg)
