So should front foot always be on the centreline pretty much?
I looked at my feet yesterday when surfing and pretty sure they’re too far forward so need to try and step back once I’m on the wave like Stuart does.
Waves coming to Cornwall so hopefully will be able to try this week
Hi Tom! Thanks for the comment. As a general rule, your front foot should always be around or on top of the centre line. Your back foot should be the one doing the moving from heel-side-rail to toe-side-rail when performing turns. You’re simply guiding the board with your front foot in place and steering/turning the board with your back foot. Yes, always good to step back when turning the board so you can stand above the fins. I tend to stand forward when trimming and gaining speed, and then step back to perform a turn. Hopefully see you… Read more »
