The 2026 SUP 11-City Non-Stop has concluded in Friesland, with paddlers and teams completing more than 200 kilometres through the historic waterways of the northern Netherlands. Team Friends recorded the fastest time of the event, Marek Splichal won the men’s solo competition and Froukje Wichgers-Marien claimed the women’s solo title.
Nineteen competitors and teams appeared on the start list, with 14 recording a finish following more than a full day of continuous paddling.
TEAM FRIENDS SET THE FASTEST TIME
Team Friends completed the course in 27:16:04.5 to win the mixed-team category and record the quickest time across all divisions.
Team Al & Al followed only one minute and 14.2 seconds later, winning the tandem category in 27:17:18.7.
It was an incredibly close finish after more than 27 hours on the water and highlighted just how competitive the front of the event remained throughout the day and night.
Team SUP Training Leeuwarden finished second in the mixed-team category in 29:46:17.2, with Team 1-2-Ok taking third in 31:00:09.7.
Team Superboys won the men’s team category with a time of 31:26:52.8.
MAREK SPLICHAL WINS MEN’S SOLO CATEGORY
Marek Splichal was the fastest individual paddler, completing the route in 29:17:28.6 to win the men’s solo competition and place third across the combined results.
Job Moerings was the second solo man to finish, recording 30:36:07.8. Richard Wiesner completed the men’s solo podium in 31:22:50.7.
Nicholas Drewett finished in 33:34:13.6, followed by William Touber in 35:09:49.6, Franck Ballesta in 35:39:54.3 and Uri Unreich in 36:38:01.6.
FROUKJE WICHGERS-MARIEN TAKES WOMEN’S SOLO VICTORY
Froukje Wichgers-Marien won the women’s solo competition with a finishing time of 33:58:04.2.
Catherine Salinoc was the second woman to complete the route, crossing the finish line in 35:21:17.6.
The result placed Wichgers-Marien tenth and Salinoc twelfth across the combined timing table.

FIVE-DAY SUP 11-CITY TOUR BEGINS TOMORROW
The conclusion of the Non-Stop event marks the beginning of a full week of endurance paddling in Friesland.
The five-day SUP 11-City Tour starts tomorrow, Wednesday, September 9, and continues until Sunday, September 13.
Competitors will tackle the Eleven Cities route over five stages, with daily times combined to decide the overall standings. Recreational paddlers and teams will also take part across the week.
