The SUP divisions delivered some of the most exciting performances of the week at the ALAS Global Tour Finals, where both SUP Surf and SUP Race crowned new champions in the powerful right-hand waves of Surf City El Salvador.
In SUP Race, Argentina’s Juliette Duhaime dominated the women’s field with unmatched consistency, winning all three race heats to secure a perfect score. Peru’s Itzel Delgado took the men’s title through a combination of strategy and stamina, earning one heat victory and two strong second-place finishes.
The SUP Surf finals brought an equally high level of talent to Punta Mango’s long, technical walls. Brazil’s Leco Salazarclaimed the men’s crown with powerful, flowing surfing, followed by France’s Benoit Carpentier. In the women’s division, Peru’s Vania Torres rose to the top with dynamic turns and excellent wave selection, ahead of Argentina’s Lucía Cosoleto.
With over 300 athletes from more than 25 countries, this year’s ALAS Global Finals highlighted the growing strength of SUP within the Latin American surf scene. Punta Mango once again proved the perfect stage, showcasing the versatility and progression of both SUP Surf and SUP Race on an international level.
