With their good price point inflatable paddleboards, Aqua Marina have already got tens of thousands of us on the water. And the 2021 Aqua Marina range has even more improvements to their shapes, graphics, features and fittings.
In this video we highlight the new changes to the All Round and the All Round Advanced range, including highlighting the bigger size boards that will be great for heavier riders or families wanting more usable multi person boards. We also take a look at the new Hyper Touring board with its wider tail, updates to the new Race boards and see how Aqua Marina have made it easier to pump and paddle in 2021 too.
The Aqua Marina Beast we reviewed weighed 8.42kg / 18.52lb and had a deflection test of 19mm at 15 psi.
Please let us know which board you would like to see in a standalone SUPboarder review and if you have any other comments please write them below.
Any reviews on Sea Lion boards? Otago? Rapoka? Tasman?
Hey Mark, No not yet. We haven’t seen any of there gear. But I hope to soon .
I’d like to see the new Hyper 12 6.
Noted.. thanks Jonny
Hi, is Coral SUP Good for small Wawe? it seems have less nose rocker comparing Beast 10.6.
Thank yuo, bye, Marco
Good question Marco. When we reviewed them we didn’t notice it having less nose rocker. But depending on your weight (ideally less then 70kg) yes it could be a great board for catching small waves. But heavier paddlers should look at the Beast for sure.
Many many thanks
Marco
Hi guys! Since I’ve tried SUP for the first time (~two weeks ago) SUPBoarder is my favorit youtube channel 🙂 Thank you! And I am planning to buy my first all-around board next spring, and I am thinking about Aqua Marina 2021 collection. I am 1.75m tall and weigh 90 kg. What would you recommend? If it occurs I am really into SUP, possibly after year or two I will upgrade to a touring iSUP, but already at the beginning I would like to have possibility to put some luggage on it. So I am considering Fusion or Magma from… Read more »
Hey Marek Yes good questions.. I thick for your weight and what you want to do and carry on the board. You will need a board with a bit of width to it. Straight off I think the Magma at 33″wide will be the best for ease of paddling and the ability to carry 10-20kg of gear too. If you wanted a board just for you without any gear you could get away with the Fusion at 32″ wide. Also at your weight the thicker 15cm boards are the way to go too. We are looking into doing some comparison… Read more »
Thank you. I am looking forward to a comparison video then 🙂
Best, Marek
love to see a review of the 2021 race 14′ please. would like a cheap race board for open water solo training. good deals on the 2019 race at the minute, would be great to know if the 2021 race is as stiff (12mm)as 2019 model, so it would be worth spending the extra for the new one. cheers
Ok Dave thanks for the suggestion. We will pop it on the list.
Hello, what do you think of the hyper 12’6 for a person who is 151cm and 48kg?
Hi Ivy, the board will be obviously nice and stable and give you are good amount of glide. If you are wanting a board that has even more speed definitely dropping the width will help because obviously the rider isn’t that heavy. But if you’re planning to paddle a little bit further with maybe some dry bags on the front and the back the board will be absolutely fine. Is it for more longer distance paddling or just all round paddling?
Hi,
I
m planning to get Aqua Marina SUP Board. And I
m looking on 4 boards and cant decide. My top 4 would be All-Round Coral, Beast, Magama and Hyper 11'6. I
m 162cm and 52kg. What would be your suggestion for good board as I don`t want to purchase one and then regret decision. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,
Anita
Hi Anita. If you are looking for an all round board the Coral would be great board for your weight. But if you are looking to paddle alot further a board with more length like the Hyper would work well.
Hi, I’m an absolute beginner, will be using board on lake (lago maggiore) and can’t decide between the aqua marina ‘Vapor’ or ‘Fusion’. I’m 161cm/80kg (and will sometimes also bring my little girl Sunny with me 20kg).
My husband is 185cm /95kg and will sometimes use the board too.
Hi Jess, I think if you want to paddle with your little girl and for your husband too the 10’10 Fusion will be the best move for you all. Thanks
