In this weekly SUPboarder quick SUP tip we have a a great tip for first time paddlers. Get your board moving forwards before you attempt to stand up. Paddle on your knees first to get your board moving will make your board feel way more stable and make it much easier to get to your feet. Paddling downwind (with the wind on your back) will help to keep your board moving forwards and feel more stable even when you stop paddling.
