Surfing rocky slabs isn’t for the faint hearted or the inexperienced. But it can produce some great waves if you have got the nerves for it. Zane Schweitzer has a nice session with the drone above, keeping an eye on all of the action and the rocks!
Believe it or not, we do have lots of rocky reef and slab types of breaks in the UK and Ireland… you just have to know where they are and when to surf them. BUT these type of surf breaks are NOT for the novice or intermediate surfer as they can have serious consequences for you and your board! And unfortunately for us they are usually working in the winter so no board shorts for us.
