It’s a new shape with a very new construction. In this video we look at the newest Starboard board construction… the Acute Custom Carbon. Currently available with the new Twin Fin board but soon to be available with the Spice and Pro models.
This super lightweight, tough construction is going to be getting a lot of paddlers talking this year.
Yes, it’s lighter than most boards, but the real game changer is how the board feels on the water. The flex and recoil speed that it gives your surfing, allows you to add extra to everything… more drive and speed for less. And when surfing in a range of wave conditions, that really makes a difference between a good session and a great session!
Look out for the full review on SUPboarder very soon.

In the standing area, there is an additonal layer of 100g biaxial carbon which now features a V shape towards the nose and tail – extending along the rail but without adding additional weight in the center. There is a wood patch in the standing, multiple reinforcements on nose and tail and also a full rail reinforcement that runs to the tuck edge on the bottom. ‘… Read more »
Cannot wait for the full review. Picking up early vibes it’s really good? Hope to get mine September!
