Wellington Reis shows off his powerful backhand attack whilst SUP surfing during the APP World Tour’s event in Barbados.
Wellington Reis is from Brazil and finished ranked 2nd on the APP World Tour for SUP surfing in 2019. He shows us just how he managed to claim that second ranked spot in this video of him from the Barbados event in 2019.
Watch as Wellington widens his stance when surfing backside, especially during his bottom turn. A wider stance on a bigger wave will help with control and balance as you head towards the lip. He has great control with his paddle use as well as he uses it to direct him where he wants to go.
