Now in it’s second year, on the 7th/8th and 9th June the Oleron Stand Up Paddle Challenge brings the world’s best to one of the most picturesque and challenging destinations on the 2013 Stand Up World Series.
Held on the quaint Oleron Island in France, the 16 mile long-distance race takes in some of the most dramatic and historic scenery in Europe. It provides some great downwind runs for the athletes and a real open ocean experience. Meanwhile, the World Series sprint racing, provides dynamic sprints through the surf, with beach starts and finishes making it a spectacular event for both athletes and spectators. So definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area.
