Stand-up Paddleboarding in the Lake District Book

On the 2nd May this year, Jo Moseley's new book will be released about Stand-up Paddleboarding in the Lake District, UK. This book is intended as a guide to paddle one of the UK's most stunning areas.

This book is a beautifully photographed guide to places to paddleboard in the Lakes and along the Cumbrian coastline, brought to life with engaging stories of paddleboarders, the rich history and geography of the Lakes and practical information on launching, transport, eating, exploring, paddling and safety. This is the only available guidebook that exclusively focuses on the Lake District, one of the best places to SUP in the UK.

Jo came to stand-up paddleboarding aged fifty-one and knew immediately it was something very special. She began paddleboarding while she was recovering from injury and it got her through grief, anxiety and a difficult menopause and empty nesting. In 2019, she became the first woman to paddleboard coast to coast, picking up litter and fundraising for the 2 Minute Foundation and The Wave Project. A film about her journey, Brave Enough – A Journey Home to Joy has been shown at prestigious adventure festivals.

More information will be available soon.
