On a great show of strength the junior Donato Freens had a clear strategy to break the pack at the half way mark to win his second Euro Tour in 2023.
Showing renewed energy Kaelan Lockhart finished 2nd on his best result to date. On the same pack Ole Schwarz in third had a great sprint to the line beating Tom Grosup in 4th after a few great performances this season made the coveted podium. Closing the Top 5 was Bastian Grimm on a solid effort to keep Herman Husslein in 6th after he unluckily run into a branch on the river.
On the women side the Top 2 rapidly broke the pack with multiple time winner Petronella Van Malsen taking the trophy. Tanja Ecker held on for 2nd working together the whole race. With only a few months into racing Nathalie Van Olmen in third shows a bright future ahead. On her best performance on an international event Myrte Derks in 4th had a great day. Closing the Top5 was Anne-Sophie Quennrsson on her first international showing.
The Kid’s really stepped it up, doing the short course 5.5km for the smallest & the full 11km for the U-14 to Elite Juniors. A testament of how hard many of them train. We really want to thank Bertrand and the whole team at The Flow Namur for the excellent welcome and successfully completing the longest running event on Euro Tour SUP.
Stay tuned for the next Euro Tour 2023 event 10 on July 15th:
