Products we compared
AQUA MARINA CORAL TOURING (Night Fade) 2023
RRP: £649 , $850
A great entry level touring board that is lightweight, easy to handle and will suit riders who weigh up to 75kg.
Pros: This board is lightweight, agile and glides with speed on the water. The new updated tail runner, cargo straps and fin system make this board feel more premium.
Cons: The board measured at 33" wide for us instead of the advertised 31". The paddle needs to be upgraded as it is quite heavy and would cause some issues if paddling for extended periods.
Consider buying if... You weigh under 75kg and want a board that glides well, is lightweight, easy to manage and good value for money.
AQUA MARINA HYPER 2023
RRP: £619 , $750
With double chamber and welded technology, the Hyper has become a contender in the SUP touring market for those searching for a stiff, durable and load bearing board.
Pros: With the introduction of a fore keel, the tracking is dramatically improved and works well for longer distance paddling in calmer water. The stiffness is incredible which improves performance. It's a great package for the price.
Cons: The fore keel has its drawbacks, but in the right conditions it works well. There are no handles on the board which makes manoeuvring in shallow water with gear harder. It is heavier than the Coral touring.
Consider buying if... You weigh over 80kg, have some paddling experience and would like a board that can carry gear for adventure paddles.
What we say
In this SUPboarder comparison review, we take a look at the Aqua Marina Hyper and Coral Touring iSUPs. These boards are both the same size at 11’6″ x 31″ x 6″, yet suit very different types of paddlers due to their construction.
The Hyper is a great touring board for heavier riders over 75kg because of the double chamber technology to help stiffen the board. The Coral is perfect for lighter weight riders under 75kg who would like a lightweight touring board.
