Well, its been 2 years since Wings first hit the market and a few years before that for foils. But Aztron are one of the first big mass market brands to supply all you need to get on the water with these new sports - boards, foils and wings. Just like Aztron's SUPs and accessories they are available in shops all around the world and are coming out at very competitive prices too.
We heard Aztron were going to be getting involved with foils and wings last year but we didn’t quite realise that the range would consist of 4 foils, 2 wings and 2 boards! We had the 5m Wing in our SUPboarder Pro test earlier in November and were intrigued to see what their foils and boards were going to be like… especially for the price points!

In a comparison of beginner boards, how would you rate the Aztron Carbon vs. the competition at similar volume (Rocket Wing V2, Cabrinha X-Fly, Takuma Classic TK, Naish, etc.)? From a specs standpoint, it’s a little longer and narrower than the others, so I’m curious about its relative stability (for knee starts) and swing weight feel. Ideally it would be great to have something that could be fun for a couple seasons or beyond.
I would say that for the price the Aztron is pretty good. I think you could be a newbie winger on this board at 80kg and down, and that is just because of the narrowness of the board. The bottom shape and the weight of the board is good but the footsraps positions are not the best. I feel its a good board for the money but you do get what you pay for. The boards I have been most impressed with in the past have been Armstrong and Naish but these boards are over twice the price, but they… Read more »
Thanks Reuben. Lots to think about. I’m eyeing a pristine used Naish S25 for about the same price. Might be the way to go.
Yeah I would go for that
I have 85kg, I think to buy Inflatable foil board with 2000 foil, max winds in my country 12kt, what do you think, or maybe recommend size of foil for me, Im beginner
Yeah good size foil setup for you in light winds. And the inflatable is also a good value board to use with it.
Hi! I am completely new to wing foiling, with over a 10 years experience in windsurfing, would you recommend those foils for a beginner or better to look for a good deal with fanatic’s aero high aspect 1750 (or takuma’s pro foil 1600)?
Absolutely 1650 especially is a great foil to get you into the sport and the value for money it’s right up there. I would definitely recommend staying away from the high aspect ratio foils at the moment. Your windsurfing will really help. But your learning curve will be the greatest if you use a foil like this wide based foils for the first year of so. Does that make sense? Thanks
Thank you so much for the prompt answer, I’ll be looking for a good deal Aztron then. A bit out of topic, but what board would you recommend to start with? Should I consider inflatable (which are much cheaper) or solid one? I like the compact size of the former but I’m not sure about stiffness and stability, which come with the latter.
Both will work. A hard board will be easier and if you have the space/ money, for it I would look at that if possible. The Aztron iSUP board in this video is ok and does work but you will have a faster progression with a hard board. Your first foil board is going to be something that if you buy the right size (not too big) you should out grow within about a year. This shows you are progressing well and have made the right board choice. Buy a board thats too small and it will last you longer… Read more »
Hi,
Thank you for a really informative review. I’ve watching several of your wing videos lately to help me choose the right beginner gear.
Currently I leaning towards the Naish S26 matador 5m2, with a fanatic skywing 5.8”- 110 l board with either the 1650cm2 or the 2000cm2 aztron foil. Which of these two would you recommend? And what about the complete setup? I weigh 75 kg, completely new to wing foil but I have kitesurfed for 10 years.
Cheers
Hey Erik. That all sounds good to me. I would go for the Aztron 1650 foil at your weight. You get a lot of foil for the money. But of course if its light wind action you are looking for, going for the bigger 2000 foil will be better.
I weigh the same as you and that is pretty much the size setup I started with 😉
. Thanks Reuben
Thanks for the reply! What would you consider as light wind? As a beginner, where do you think the threshold in wind speed will be with the 1650?
Cool! Then I didn’t misinterpret all the buyers guide information you guys uploaded
Hey Erik. I would say the the 1650 would be the foil, but if you where planning use the board in lighter winds all the time. 8-15knots then the 2000 will be better for that. The 1650 will be great for 13-25knots at your weight.
Thanks for the great tips. Just placed an order for the gear mentioned above but ended up with the 2000 foil.
Idea is to learn on a bigger foil (recommended by my local surf shop) and afterwards go down in foil size or ad the 1650 as well.
Thanks for everything and take care!
Erik
Thanks for the update Erik! All the best learning to foil, and a bigger foil will be easier to get up and riding.
I’m looking for a big board to learn wingfoiling easily, without falling in the water all the time
Do you think that the aztron falcon air would be a good choice,? I already have a jp xwinger 5.5, and I’m struggling, I have a bad balance. I weigh 60kg
Regards
Hi Mulder, Thanks for sending over your question, First off what size foil are you on? Because that can make a big difference to how easy winging is. Are you falling off when on the foil or off the foil? The Aztron will offer you more stability. But when flying on the foil it wont necessarily make it any easier than using your smaller JP. Let me know thanks Reuben
Off the foil my foil is 1500 and I m a beginner
Hi Anja, thanks for the comment. Is this in referents to Mulder comment above??
yes sorry
Hi! I’ve had around 15h practice so far. Managed to get on foil but still learning to control it. I’m looking to buy my gear and practice even more. I weigh 70kg and I use 115L board comfortably. Wing size of 5m is OK for me so far. I don’t know what to do with the foil. I’m split between the 1650 and 2000. I practiced on FOne Gravity 1800 and it requires a fair bit of speed to foil. Which foil would you suggest I get between the 1650 and 2000? I live in NZ and most of the… Read more »
Hey Dusan. I must be losing it, because Im sure I got back to you already on this comment somewhere, YT ? or deleted the answer before sending it. Anyway.. lol Question for you…Do you own the 1800cm foil? Because if you do I would stick with this and work on your tech. If you dont I would go for the bigger 2000 and really get into flying early and nail your gybes on the foil. Having a big foil will really help this and your alround foil progress. The 1650 would be a good step down when it gets… Read more »
Thank you for the reply! Do you know if the Aztron foils can be mounted on F1 Rocket Air (with 4 screws)?
I don’t see why not at all. They fit on all my foil boards currently
The F1 is inflatable and doesn’t have the mounting rails, only 4 screws.
Very poor workmanship. The wing 5 m. is sewn with pleats and cannot open fully. The inflatable board 7.6 is badly glued. The seams started to come apart after 3 months of use. One of the two handles fell apart completely. The 2000 Foil had a front fender leak after three months. And at the carbon board falcon 6.6, the handle from below flowed. The manufacturer did not respond to the complaint. And the local seller said that it was from misuse. I strongly do not recommend buying Aztron equipment
Thanks for your comment Valery. This is obviously not good to hear, but good to get feedback of the user that has been using the equipment for a few months.
I hope this is more of an isolated case as we have had good feedback from many other riders.
But for you this is not good to hear at all.
What Country are you in?
I am from israel. Three months is too short a period of use and there are already so many problems. If this is an isolated case, all manufacturers have a defect in production. But most manufacturers have good warranty service and customer support. The Aztron representative in Israel does not want to provide warranty service, and when I wrote to Aztron, I did not receive a response. Therefore, I will have to go to court, which is long and not pleasant.
Yes this is all not good. I know here in the UK the distributor is very good and sorts all problems quickly.
Out of all of the gear that we have review their gear has been acceptable quality. Its not as good a brands twice the price but definitely doesn’t effect the water performance.
With the list of problems you have said before the major one is the glued seams on the board. That should be a straight warranty.
Could you send me some pics of all the problems to reuben@supboardermag.com I would love to see the issues please.
Hi. I sent you photos and videos of the problems. Perhaps your distributor is good and solves all problems. And our distributor has not wanted to decide anything for two months now and answers that the manufacturer said that this is from improper use ???
Hey Valery . Thanks I will take a look and get back to you.
Hi folks, I have received my Falcon Air 7.6. I am looking for the specifications of the T-Nuts that goes into the track system of this board. Any one has the dimensions?
Ahh unfortunately I haven’t got any of the foils/nuts or boards here at the moment. I have you tried the shop you got it from? Let me know if not and I can do some digging around for you.
I’m interested in the 1650 and 1800, I’m small though (110 lbs) I’m trying to learn to pump/dock start along with wake foil and wake surf small small waves with it, what would you suggest?
Hi Henry, thank you for sending over your question. At your weight you definitely want to be looking at the 1650. These foils are great for general foiling but I will say they’re not going to be the best for learning to pump or dock start. Just because they’re not super efficient as some more top and foils out there. But of course these other foils are more than twice the price. To get the most out of foil pumping you really should be looking at foils with more efficient foil profiles, I would suggest companies like Axis Armstrong Indiana.… Read more »
I’m want to start with wingfoiling and found that these Aztron products are nicely priced and was wondering as a beginner I could use the 6.6 carbon board?
I weigh 85 kg, no experience in foiling or other windsports. I do surf and SUP, I’m very convident on a 8.2 foot /100L surfboard and 10 foot SUP’s.
Hi Mike , Good question, the wing and foil gear is well priced and will work well for what you want, but I feel the 66 isn’t ideal because of its overall width. The board needs to be more like the starboard wingboard 6’3” x 28.5” .
And also if you wanted to use footstraps the original strap placements weren’t great.
Which is a shame because the construction, weight and bottom shape worked well. I wonder if a new board will come out soon to replace it this year??
sorry about delay and get back to you. Thanks Reuben
Hi, I’m also looking at Decathlon’s Takuma board. They have one size I like: 6′.0 x 28.5″, 120L and weighs 10 kg for around 600 euro’s. I recon that’s still a better option than the Aztron 6.6?
The board is a really good size. At your weight a board with a bit more width like the Takuma will really help.
Hello. Has anyone tried this original Low aspect 1450 foil? They didn’t test it in this video, and I couldn’t find a review or opinion about it anywhere on the internet. I’m asking because I just ordered one (it was very cheap) I already have a good quality wing and board (GA 6.2 m2 and Tabou Pocket air 107 liters). Later I will also want good quality foil from a high quality brand, but I thought I would start with this. I weigh 70 kilos. As a beginner in wing foiling (Windsurfing background), do you think I will be able… Read more »
Hey Mark. I would love to be able to give you an answer on this but none of us here have. My gut feeling is you will want a front wing more like the 1650 really or even the 2000 in the really light winds. but the 1450 maybe ok… It wont be that fast because of its depth overall. I think it will work best more in the 18knts range. So sorry I cant advise more on this. If I hear any feedback from others I will get them to get back to you.
