I bought the 29″ and I think it’s brilliant. I’ve only used it on flat water – in that environment it’s fast, glides well and is responsive to power. It turns well enough too if you are confident in stepping back – spins likes top if you are brave. I agree with your nose runner point too though – I noticed it a few times paddling at angles into the wind (not directly into it).
