SUPboarder looks at the Fanatic Ray 12’6” x 27.5” in the Pure construction. The Ray is an incredibly versatile board that has been getting paddlers on the water, touring, racing and even downwinding since Fanatic first made the Ray in 2012/13. The new 2017 Rays have the same characteristics as the first Rays but are now available in 2 sizes 30” and 27.5” wide and both 12’6” long. The smaller Ray offers an outstanding board for touring in all water conditions for the light to mid weight rider. But the Ray can be used for more than just touring… whether it’s getting into racing or downwinding the 27’5” Ray can do it all.
