With hot talent coming up through the ranks across the different disciplines of SUP, we can see new faces and young SUP groms starting to shine through. One of the newest super passionate youngsters on the block is Blue Ewer from Plymouth, Devon. Blue has been on the water from a very young age, watersports is in his blood. So the news that he has been snapped up by a major UK brand didn’t come as a surprise. Naish UK will be working with Blue in 2016 to keep him pushing his limits and help him compete in numerous events across the country.
Words below from Dave Ewer and Alex Tobutt from Naish UK:
“After a successful year competing on the SW and national SUP events Blue Ewer has been snapped up by Naish UK, K4 fins and Reactive Watersports to race and compete for the 2016 season. Last year Blue competed in a string of events racing winning every youth event he entered, Carbis bay EuroCup (1st youth), Legend of the bay, Watergate, SUP Wave (1st youth) Hayle Surf to Salt (1st youth), Exe Hammer 1st Youth (9th overall), Mewstone Paddle (overall winner), and came runner up in the BSUPA SUP wave nationals at Watergate. Blue is super keen to build on this years events success and will be competing further afield in the UK this year, Blue Ewer 14 from Plymouth started paddle boarding at the ripe old age of 5 and did his first wave comp at 6 years old, he should have a few more years ahead of him. This year Blue will be competing on Naish Javelin race boards and Naish Hokua Keiki and LE boards, all with matching yellow K4 fins!” Dave Ewer
”We are really happy to bring Blue into the Naish UK team. Blue brings youthful enthusiasm and proven talent in the waves and now racing, we are really excited to see where he takes it. We hope other young paddlers are inspired by Blue and make the progression into competition” Alex Tobutt
