Jon Locke has shared his surf 12’6” race dawn patrol session video with SUPboarder. He really does get some great rides.
We asked Jon what his tips are to surfing a race board…
“My tips to surfing a 12’6 race board would be plenty of practice and moving your back foot over the rail are pretty important. The Lahui Kai that I paddle has a harder edge on the rails which also helps. The surf that day was 4-6 feet and a fuller swell also suits the longer boards.”
