In the Summer of 2011 Dave Cornthwaite completed a source to sea descent of the Mississippi River by Stand Up Paddleboard, a world record distance of 2404 miles. The journey was the 4th in Dave’s Expedition1000 project, in which he aims to complete 25 journeys of 1000 miles or more, each one using a different form of non-motorised transport.
