Champions Crowned at the 2025 APP World Tour Gran Canaria Pro-Am

Gran Canaria delivered the final word on the 2025 APP World Tour, crowning world champions in conditions that demanded precision, patience, and experience — and still produced a standout perfect 10 when it mattered most.

Pro Division: Composure Wins in Challenging Conditions

In the SUP Pro Men’s final, Benoit Carpentier once again proved his mastery in difficult surf, claiming the win through smart wave selection and clean execution. Sebastian Gomez finished a hard-fought second, followed by Mathieu Carpentier in third and Moritz Mauch in fourth.

The SUP Pro Women’s division belonged to Luchy Cosoleto, who felt a bit lost at sea to begin with, but finished with a thrilling turn to take the win. Vania Torres took second place, while Kaede Inoue and Sakura Inoue rounded out the final in third and fourth.

SUP Longboard: Technical Excellence on Display

With wave quality at a premium, the SUP Longboard divisions rewarded flow, timing, and control.

In the men’s event, Benoit Carpentier completed a Gran Canaria double, taking victory ahead of Leonard Nika, Kilian Burac, and Moritz Mauch. The women’s longboard final saw Kaede Inoue step onto the top spot, with Sakura Inoue close behind in second. Camille Dubrana finished third, followed by Enola Locussol in fourth.

Juniors Rise to the Challenge

The junior divisions once again highlighted the future of the sport, with young athletes rising to the occasion despite the demanding conditions.

The Junior Boys title went to Titouan Pajot, ahead of Zane Saenz in second, Ivan Puente Rodríguez in third, and Joan Garcia Valero in fourth. In the Junior Girls, Sakura Inoue claimed the win, with Kaede Inoue finishing second and Prune Guérin taking third.

Masters Crowned, Veterans Celebrated

The Masters division delivered some of the most tactical performances of the event, as experience proved decisive in the unpredictable surf. Felipe Marden took the win, followed by Carlos Fidalgo in second, Saverio Di Mauro in third, and Nick Crettenand in fourth.

In addition to the official divisions, the event also took time to celebrate the sport’s older statesmen, recognizing the athletes who continue to shape and support the global SUP community. While not a formal competition division, the moment served as a reminder of the depth of experience and legacy present on the APP World Tour.

A True Test for 2025

The 2025 Gran Canaria event stood out as a technical proving ground on the APP World Tour calendar. Conditions demanded strategy over spectacle, but when opportunity met ability, the performance level soared — highlighted by a perfect 10 and a series of well-earned titles. With champions crowned and experience celebrated, the tour moves on with Gran Canaria once again leaving its mark on the season.
