Molokai Holokai – Maui 2 Molokai Crossing Race 2024

The Maui 2 Molokai downwind race was held last week on the 19th July with athletes from across the world competing. A record number of 123 SUP Foil participants were entered with the top names and some brand new names to foiling vying for the title. This event is seen as a warm up for some athletes competing in the M2O just 2 days laster.

About M2M

The Molokai Holokai Ho’olaule’a began in 2003 as Na Opio Hana Pa’a, a Celebration of Youth Opportunities. It involved a Maui to Molokai Challenge to bring ocean enthusiasts to Molokai. The event included community events and culminated in music and festivities at Malama Park. Over the years, the event evolved and adapted to community needs. However, Malama Park faced challenges and became unavailable. The hope is to bring Malama Park back as a venue for the event in the future.
