In this video we’re going to show you some simple board handling tips which will make launching and landing easier, requiring less awkward lifting.
SUPs can be big and heavy, making them awkward to manoeuvre on land and when launching/landing.
Manoeuvring your board at the tail, lifting the fin off the ground, prevents it getting damaged, and allows any bags to remain in place, whilst launching/landing. Ideal if you’re wanting to come ashore for a quick drink or loo stop!
If you’re planning any big SUP adventures this year, and loading your board up with lots of gear then you’ll certainly find these simple board handing tips handy. And it’s a great launching/landing technique for kids to use too.
