The weekend of 7th & 8th May 2022 sees the ICE Race on Lake Thun, Switzerland, take place which creates a fantastic panorama, ICE-cold water and ICE-covered mountains. Are you ready for the ICE experience?
The ICE Race is a water sports event for all paddle sports. While the SUP top athletes collect world cup points, the event is mainly open for the popular sports. For the categories “SUP”, “Kayak” and “Outrigger” the 18 kilometer long course leads from Interlaken Neuhaus to the lido Thun. The rowers complete a circuit from Thun to Einigen, Faulensee, Merligen and back to Thun. So have you always wanted to take on a new challenge for yourself? Then you have the opportunity on May 7, 2022! On the secured route you can let yourself be impressed by the beautiful landscape with like-minded people. The route leads along rock faces and past fairytale castles – with “Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau” in the background. If you want to fortify yourself for the race together with other participants, you will have the opportunity to do so on Friday evening at the Pasta Party in the Sport Village! Your equipment will be brought to the start by truck, so you can enjoy the charter ride with the BLS to Interlaken to the start together with the other participants.
