The best SUP surfers and racers in the state of New South Wales, Australia took to the water last weekend to fight it out for the crown of State SUP Champion.
A huge weekend of SUP racing and surfing went down near Port Stephens, NSW Australia. The action was hotly contested with big names from the world of SUP competing against one another not only for the crown, but for the limited top spots that secure their ticket to the Australian National SUP Titles later in the year.
James Casey & Terrene Black were the standout performers in both the Marathon and Technical racing disciplines taking first place for the Open Men & Women respectively.
James also won the 10ft Longboard SUP Open Men division, whilst Terrene took home the gold in the Open Women’s SUP surfing final. A huge congrats to these two powerhouses.
Indy Rose has made a name for himself in the racing and surfing arena taking the Junior Marathon, Junior Technical and Junior SUP Surfing title. Also to note, he did well in the Mens Open division for racing and surfing too.
Kai Bates showed that he is not to be messed with when it comes to SUP surfing. Posting some of the highest heat totals (as he always does), Kai won the Open Men SUP Surfing crown.
Skylar Rayner also showed her skills taking the win in the Open Women’s 10ft Longboard SUP division.
