How bad is the lack of nose rocker on the ITIWIT boards? If we are talking waist high I’m assuming it’s just a modest trim back – or are they suicidally prone to pearling?
Its not that bad, but it can be improved for sure. Put it this way its still the best surf iSUP out there. And like you said a bit of tail trimming will really help. But there will be certain waves and moves you do that no matter how much you will trim off the tail you will catch the nose. The RRD has a nose that will come out of almost anything without half the amount of tail trimming. I would still surf over all the other iSUP ( but I haven’t used the TripSix yet ;-))
Cheers! I was probably leaning towards the 9 but since they don’t exist anymore it’s either the 8 or hope in March 2020 they both return with a bit more nose rocker!
Is there a chance to review the Starboard 9.5 DeLuxe with sufficent amount of Rocker? The first Hypernut 7.8 Zen is very tricky to surf with its flat nose. Kurt
Yeah we want to try and get hold of a 2020 when they come out. I think they are the same shape as 2019 FYI. I believe the board outline shape will work well. Like you said nice rocker and really well pulled in towards the tail. The HN is a super flat board. Its fun and fast but pretty technical to surf. It also doubles up as a great inflatable camping table too ;-).
So did Itiwit add more nose rocker to their new surf inflatable? Still your favorite surf isup?I’m 215lbs., so prob. 9′ x 32 x 4″, always looking for the ultimate longboard surf machine, but one fairly stable too.
Hey Mark. TBH we haven’t been able to get on any newer itiwits lately. I still feel that the original 9′ is a great board and for many size riders. But the newer Blue 9′ does look like it has more nose rocker now, so this could be a beauty again! And depending where you are in the world I see they are on sale in decathlon for €360 which is cheap!

Really looking forward to that review too… The price means it needs to be good however…
Agree with that!

That’s one extra benefit, the other is, the quadfin is genius to open 4 bottles of beer simultaneously – cheers

I know! I’m in the US tho (New Hamshire), and don’t know how to get one?? Decathalon US doesn’t carry them. Wonder if Decathalon UK would ship?
You could try UK and Europe decathlons!
