In this SUPboarder Pro readers video breakdown we look at a clip sent to us by Ramon from Grand Canaria. Ramon is riding a Quiko Wasabi 7’5″ x 29″ x 110L, and he wanted to know how to be able to do more vertical turns when surfing faster waves.

Hi Reuben, wao, million thx for that review, I see the point of having to go down to be have time for the board to turn to the face of the wave. Regarding your questions I was surfing with a thruster set up however 2 m fins and the middle one a slightly smaller one.
Thanks for the comment Ramon. Great so you are using as a thruster (3 fins). And using a slightly smaller centre fin is a good thing to do too. Yeah have a go at drive down the wave before you go into your bottom turn and let us know how it works on here. Failing that if it’s still not working look towards a more pro shaped board in these faster waves. Thanks
