As the winter approaches, for many of us it means rain, snow and cold. But for white water paddlers all around the world it means higher water levels, more fun and more SUP white water paddling. One man that seems to get out more than any other is SUP white water paddler Paul Clark. This time he is off to Maupin in Oregon USA. Paul’s films are always well filmed and edited and the riding is pretty good too!!
Maupin is the gateway to the Lower Deschutes river. There you will find a wonderful place to be on a paddle board, building paddling fundamentals in swift water and challenging experienced paddlers in whitewater. Summer or winter, the river is perfect with reliable flows and an infrastructure that allows for easy shuttles, food, and lodging. Any aspiring river paddle boarder will fall in love with the Deschutes. Paul Clark shows us the Maupin river SUP scene. Words Hala Gear
