French paddler Nicolas Jarossay is the 1st person to attempt to Stand Up Paddleboard across the Atlantic Ocean! This journey will take Nicholas from the islands of Cabo verde across to the French West Indies in the Caribbean and the island of Martinique. The over 2’500 mile journey will be using the weather patterns of the southern part of the North Atlantic with its winds and currents helping to push him in a westerly direction.
Judging by the trailer of this video Nicholas is ready to go. Paddling across the Atlantic is no mean feat. Nicholas is going to have to face more things than paddling a long distance. Staying physically fit, heat exhaustion, staying mentally fit, seasickness and the biggest one of all, the mind game of being thousands of miles from any land.
Best of luck Nicolas and stay safe out there. Keep your leash on!
