You’ll hear many great reports about the Starboard Air Born range. But there’s nothing better than seeing it in action. The young french Starboard team rider Ben Carpentier usually rides a super small board like the Starboard Pro 7’1” or 7’4”x 25.5” when he is competing on the Stand Up World Tour. The Pro boards are great boards when you are at the top end of the sport and getting lots of water time. But for most SUPboarders who don’t have the opportunity to get in the water every day, or ability to stand on such small boards with lightening reactions, its good to see him riding a board designed for real world waves and real world weights. To be total honest, you can’t really tell he’s on a bigger board than usual. It’s still super fast and responsive to look at. The Starboard Air Born range is definitely one to look at if you’re after performance yet still want to float!
Here’s a nice video of Ben riding an Air Born 7’4” x 28.5” in Galicia, Spain. It’s good to see he can still shred on the bigger boards too!
