This light weight paddleboard is going to be great for lighter paddlers wanting to get into their first few waves, as well as offer more experienced SUP surfers a compact iSUP that wont break the bank.
The board needs some more rocker to get you down the steeper waves and you surfing in the more critical sections of the waves.
Buy if... you are looking to get a good looking iSUP that is light and hits a good price point. It will be great for riders up to 85kg.

What the brand says
The 8’8’’ WAVE with a rounded and wide nose helps to easily get the board through waves for any level of rider. The narrow tail with a removable fin gives
super-fast responsiveness with extra hold for tight turns. Produced in Double Layer Technology with 1000D extra rail-band reinforcement, the WAVE can be
inflated up to 18psi which provides incredible stiffness and reactiveness. The deep diamond grooved deck pad offers comfort and grip and a diamond cut kick
pad provides greater grip and stability. Now you can catch a wave whenever you want.
What would your choice/ recommendation of surf sup inflatable to travel with for an intermediate rider in the 9’ category, I can see that this lacks rocker but the price is pretty nice
thanks
Hey Simon. There’s a few boards out there.
If you can find a 2018/19 Itiwit 9′ 500 surf would be besthttps://supboardermag.com/2019/03/12/itiwit-8-9-500-surf-inflatable-sup-comparison-review/ . The RRD air COTAN is shorter but a good board https://supboardermag.com/equipment_guide/rrd-air-cotan-86-x-29-5/ .
And this JP hasn’t change much over the years but because of its pulled in tail shape and extra rocker it was great in the surf https://supboardermag.com/2017/05/13/jp-australia-surf-air-review-surf-isup/
