What we say
We’ve had a lot of fun playing around with Starboard’s newest foiling toy, the Ace Foil. It’s a board that has predominately been designed for downwind foiling but it has shown itself to work very well in other foiling disciplines too. Its long, thinner outline shape means it loves getting up onto the foil early. Whether you are trying to catch a small bump, fly with your wing or paddle yourself up on flat water, the Ace foil can do it all.
Got a question about this product?
Pros: Works well across all foiling disciplines, good construction that is well priced, works with a wide range of foils, has a good amount of glide to paddle up onto foil, a real light wind wing weapon.
Cons: Some foils will require longer foil bolts, the overall stability will be reduced when using smaller foils and masts, works best in weaker not as steep waves, you wont be able to throw the board around as much as shorter boards.
Consider buying if... you're looking for a well made and designed DW SUP foil board that will work across many foiling disciplines. And because it hits a competitive price from a respected brand the Ace foil will be a board for many newer riders getting into all things foil.

What the brand says
“AN ACE IN FOILING DOWNWIND, WING AND SURF”
The Ace Foil features the iconic pin-tail design for efficient takeoff and tracking downwind. The outline is designed to resemble nature’s most streamline possible shape, a teardrop, and the slightly recessed standing area gives the rider a flat, stable, and more connected feel over the foil.
After much testing, we also found the Ace Foil to be a fantastic crossover board for not only SUP downwinding, but light wind wingboarding as well as SUP surfing.
