I am very interested in the SB foil blade as I am using a Lima XL for flat water paddle up, and in general SB paddles are great. Also because you can have it adjustable. But the foil blade biggest size is L, while the other brands are all offering bigger size. Is there a reason for not offering a bigger size ? If I am using my Lima L I can not get out of the water so I need a bigger size or is this irrelevant with this type of shape because you mostly using the tip? Looking… Read more »
I have been tending to use an area bigger than I do for general paddling by one size, but I would recommend looking at the cm2 rather than the sizes as they dont always link up with the new foil paddles. For instance, prior to these paddles being available I have used a L BP paddle sprint for foiling when I generally use a M for general paddling and a S for SUP surfing.
Currently, we don’t have plans to offer a larger size for the foil blade.
It’s not accurate to compare the Lima L with the Foil Blade L due to their different shapes. The Foil Blade L feels much more powerful than the Lima L, I would even say more powerful than the Lima XL.
Most of our riders use the M size, with only some of the larger riders choosing the L size. We haven’t received any feedback indicating a need for a bigger size yet.

For example, I use the M Foil blade for paddle-up, downwind and SUP foiling, yet use Lima XL and L for SUP racing. It’s worth pointing out that the Foil Blade paddles have recently been made available in Carbon technology to run alongside the lighter Prepreg models, hitting a more affordable price point (in the UK £215… Read more »
