What we say
The Italian based brand Scoprega have for many years, been making some of the best selling hand pumps in the world, for example the Bravo 100 and Bravo Super, which many of you will have seen included in your SUP packages.
But in Scogregas words… “what is not ethical is not economical.” And so Scogrega have produced their next generation of hand pump… pumps made mostly from recycled alluminium, instead of just plastic.
Plastic, even recycled plastic has a much higher carbon footprint than certain metals, and so as Scoprega explain, “reducing the amount of plastic used is the only way to achieve concrete environmental sustainability.” And Circal aluminium, with a concentration of 75% recycled aluminium has the same characteristics but a much lower production energy consumption than primary aluminium, making it a great material choice.
These new aluminium pumps are much more robust and environmentally friendly than the current plastic hand pumps on the market. And as Reuben shows are very similar in effeciency to our test wining Bravo Super.
Reuben gives us a great insight into this next generation of hand pump explaining the 2 sizes available and who they may be best suited for. We really hope to see them included in many iSUP packages from 2023.

Wow, I looked everywhere, I check all the distributors Scoprega lists on their website for the UK and nowhere has the Bravo SUPer Pump for sale and the news ones are only on the Scoprega website. I am definitely in the market for one of these pumps I just wish I could get my hands on one.
Hey Kris This is not good news there’s usually some shop with a bravo super in stock but obviously not available at the moment. The other way to think about this is to find what brands are using bravo super pumps. So for example I know a Starboard and a Shark SUP are using bravo super pumps. So if you can find a retailer that stocks starboard and shark you can buy a branded bravo super pump. If that makes sense? Straightaway I can say it’s probably worth trying Sup inflatables in UK because I know they stock both brands.… Read more »
Thank you, Reuben, for the excellent advice I will look for. May I ask are the Starboard Tiki pumps also the Bravo Super pump or the GRi HP 9 pump and which is better?
Hey Kris
The Tiki pump is a Bravo SUPer pump that starboard have modified to make even better( removable footbases and a few other things). So this is a good one to go for.
But to answer the question about the HP9, this is also a great pump. I would be very happy to own ether pumps. I would rate them about the same TBH.
