What we say
There are many brands that are only now getting into winging. And then there is Naish, who are now on their MK4 Wing Surfer!
The Wing Surfer was very much the first wing to hit the market, and year after year Naish have focused on improving it. The refinements to the latest MK4 Wing Surfer give all levels of users even more of what they love, and the MK4 works well alongside the new Matador LT. It’s not as powerful as the Matador LT but it makes up for it with great controllability in the air. The availability of the Wing Surfer MK4 in a huge range of sizes, will allow many beginner, intermediate and advanced riders to get on the water and loving all aspects of winging.

Our RCMD rider weight: no limitkg
Pros: Good overall stability, good padded handles, overall stiffness, balanced in all wind conditions, great for jumping, large range of sizes, nice choice of colour ways.
Cons: The coiled leash can become tangled and get stretched in the surf.
Consider buying if... You’re looking for a wing to get into the sport and/or progress to that higher level. Available in a large range of sizes, suitable for all weights of riders, but if its power to size ratio you’re after the Matador LT wing will give you more.

What the brand says
“Designed to “check all of the boxes” in terms of performance”
Designed to “check all of the boxes” in terms of performance, features, and range, the future of winging is here with the Wing-Surfer MK4. This fourth-generation Wing-Surfer combines the perfect balance of low-end power, rigidity, and twist for optimum sheet-in-and-go power and speed. An increased diameter leading edge and strut adds to the MK4’s stiffness, resulting in great stability and power. The Wing-Surfer MK4 has three long and ergonomic control handles for added comfort and control as well as an added ‘power handle’ for sheeting in hard and jumping. Smaller windows have reduced the Wing-Surfer’s overall weight with zero compromises in visibility. For those who are in search of the best combo of get-up-and-go power, a wide wind range, insane top speed, and unmatched jumping ability, the Wing-Surfer MK4 is the wing you can’t live without.
Did you find yourself ever using the very back handle supposedly for jumping?
Hey Howard – Reuben is away on holiday at the moment, but ill make sure he gets back to you on this one as soon as possible – he did the most riding on the Mk4 – Cheers, Will
Hey Howard. No not really. But I can see if you want to load up the wing it could help with more flight time. I will give it a go next time. Thanks
Very nice review…thank you. As a beginner trying to get the basics down, your “con” is one of my main pluses! The original non-coiled wrist leash on my S25 always wanted to end up at my throat and occasionally wrapped around my neck. The coil leash on my S26 is always from my wrist right up to the wing, never near my body. I would be happy to send you my old one! I am underpowered on a 6 M S 25 wing on light days (less than 10 knots) so am looking for a bit bigger. There are great… Read more »
Hi Steve. I do remember the older Wingsurfer straight leash. You are so right, that one was even worst because it was so long! And I remember getting that around my neck more than once lol. So improved from that defo.
Going for a bigger S26 could be a good buy if the deal is right. Im just testing the new Naish Matador LT at the moment. Another nice wing with a few better tweaks to the last LT. But in general I feel all the Naish wings over the last 2 years have been very nice.
