NORTHERN BEACHES DOWNWIND FOIL RACE - 2026
Sydney’s Northern Beaches hosted a weekend of racing and community activity on 14–15 February 2026 as the Vaikobi × Foil Drive Northern Beaches Downwind Foil Race returned under the NSW Foil Club banner at Fishermans Beach, Collaroy.
A 13km downwind course from Long Reef to Avalon Beach was set, with light winds but a small southerly swell providing enough energy for riders to link bumps and stay on foil. The event featured both traditional SUP foil and foil-assist divisions, reflecting the continued growth of electric assist within the downwind scene.

Supported by brands including Vaikobi, Foil Drive, Code Foils, KT Foils, North Foils and Kaohi Leashes, the event blended racing, demos and social gatherings — highlighting the continued evolution of downwind foiling in Australia.
