The 2025 edition of SUP The Creek, held on October 18–19 in Kingsbridge and Salcombe, Devon, marked the 10th anniversary of one of the UK’s premier stand-up paddleboarding events. Organized by Waterborn SUP, the festival attracted paddlers from across the UK, competing in a mix of distance and sprint races over the two-day event.
Saturday, October 18 – Kingsbridge: The distance race was shortened due to weather conditions, but still provided a challenging test. Annie Page claimed victory in the women’s open division, while Will Keetley won the men’s open race.
Sunday, October 19 – South Sands, Salcombe: The planned technical race was cancelled due to adverse weather, but the 200 m beach sprint races went ahead, testing paddlers’ speed and agility in dynamic conditions.
As part of the GBSUP National Paddle Racing Series, results from SUP The Creek contributed to overall series standings, reinforcing the event’s status as a key fixture in the UK SUP racing calendar. Alongside elite competition, the festival emphasized inclusivity and community engagement, with categories for juniors, leisure paddlers, and newcomers.
Despite weather disruptions, the 10th anniversary edition reinforced SUP The Creek’s reputation as a premier UK SUP event, combining challenging racing, scenic venues, and a festive atmosphere for paddlers and spectators alike.
