I think at 3.30 on the video I call ‘over rotating’ as you’ve turned your board more than perpendicular/ 90 degrees to the beach & so your paddle strokes aren’t propelling you down the wave & they are turning you further & directing you off the wave (rather than down it) = missed wave. That & not getting your front foot in the right place (enough down the centre line) so that you unsettle your board & sink a rail & lose momentum just at the critical point where you need the speed to catch the wave = game over… Read more »
Yeah these also should have made the cut in the video too. Thanks for the add. Usually as you know its a combination of many things which come into play. We had a lot of fun making this video. Lucy is a very good SUP surfer and it was actually really hard to get her to make the wrong (right) mistakes for the camera. I couldn’t get the clip of her getting sucked over the falls at all!
