Downwind SUP Foiling mania is sweeping the world...this exciting discipline has captured the imagination of many including our co-founder, Will. In part 7, Will sits down with Reuben to discuss the last 5 months of progression where he's managed to squeeze in a few good downwinders and is starting to see some good progression. We discuss how will has been focusing on other disciplines of foiling to build on skills to support his downwind foiling.

A lot of you have said theres very little real world information about how to get into downwind foiling ,  so we decided to capture our our journey and share it with you.  Will progressing through his downwind foiling journey, identifying how he can progress and sharing the insight with you all.   Make sure you catch up with parts 1 to 6 if you haven’t already.

Great chat guys. I have also been conflicted about the visibility issue, and have so far decided to try and not be visible on the basis that i establish enough of a safety system that i don’t need the public looking out for me. I’m never far enough off shore that i can’t paddle or drift to shore/safety, or if I need to call for help I/my buddy/shore crew can. If the worse happens and i do get knocked unconscious, the chances of being spotted are tiny even with high vis, and survival equally tiny even if you were spotted.… Read more »
