Zane Schweitzer has led the not-for-profit InZane SuperGroms events around Maui for over a decade. Now, Zane introduces us to the Kahakukahi Foundation which teaches kids ocean guardianship through sport and mentorship, which uplifts the community and environment.
For over a decade the InZane SuperGroms not-for-profit events have offered to children around Maui a healthy learning environment along with the tools and experience to safely practice sport and stewardship for our environment. We are so excited to introduce the Kahakukahi Foundation. Our mission at Kahakukahi is to introduce ocean guardianship through sport and mentorship. Uplifting our community and environment comes from power of choice, and we hope to empower our next generation of keiki in doing so through mentorship and a healthy, active lifestyle.
Our first event of the year takes place at Launiupoko on the west side of Maui in collaboration with Parley and Living Earth Systems Farm giving this group of over 35 students a chance to learn about how the health of our land and ocean relate, and how we can play our part to keep balance in our community and environment. Our haumana for the day had a blast during this mauka to makai ocean guardianship training day, enjoy this video compilation courtesy of @islandeyeproductions7577.
Mahalo Parley and Living Earth Systems for partnering with us!
