*Press Release: EuroTour SUP
We had a beautiful day of action where the conditions added a degree of difficulty to the 28km course.
On the men side, we had one of the most dramatic scenarios all year where not only the victory was up for grabs, but the overall King of #eurotour2022. The big favorite Titouan Puyo didn’t disappoint and he led from start to finish to claim his second consecutive victory at Ardeche and also his second consecutive Euro Tour SUP crown.
Special mention goes to Ty Judson that was in a consistent 2nd until he hit an underwater rock and snapped the fin off his board; amazingly enough he still managed to finish the course in style. Additionally after a stellar season Ty was able to secure his third position overall on #eurotour2022.
On the battle for 2nd, Paolo Marconi fought hard Michael Fargier who managed and impressive 3rd to continue his podium streak. A very consistent race by Xavier Gensse saw him finish 4th ahead of a Pro Canoer & new comer on the SUP scene Theo Viens closing out the Top 5.
On the women side, it was all about Susak Molinero that on her first river race came out victorious and claimed her first win after motherhood earlier this year, a big accomplishment by the athlete.
Last year’s winner and well known athlete Fanny Tessier came out on a solid 2nd on another strong performance. A very happy Emmanuelle Marcon was consistent all race for 3rd. A bit farther adrift in 4th came Sandrine Berthe one of the very few athletes that didn’t fall in the river, by choosing a more stable board, ahead of Laurence Kress in 5th.
