What a wild ride of amazing performances today in Santa Pola, Spain. The most competitive race of the summer was hard fought as expected.
The Women’s race was a superb performance by Esperanza Barreras who led from start to finish. Ms. consistency Duna Gordillo held second place with yet another solid performance on her third straight podium. On one of her best International performances, Anáis Guyomarch made the most of the downwind section.
In the Men’s race the anticipated return of Noic Garioud didn’t disappoint as he did a come for behind victory on the downwind leg for the win. Leading for much of the race but settling for second is Australian powerhouse Michael Booth, with fellow Aussie Ty Judson in third.

Without a doubt the star of the entire weekend were the Juniors. Not only at the Elite level we had two of them in the podium, but throughout the weekend all the kids races from 8-18 years old were absolutely packed with participants. The fantastic job that the clubs in the area led by @parreswatersports are doing shows it’s officially made Spain the future of Europe and arguably the sport. It was specifically gratifying to see that the kids have gotten their parents involved in the sport and they also avid racers themselves; adding charm to the already good vibe of the event.
A big thanks to @daniel_parres and the entire team at @parreswatersports for an amazing @worldsupfestival and pulling off such a feat; we are all very proud of you guys!
