Happy World Ocean Day! We as paddlers know that protecting our ocean keeps our sport and lifestyle clean, healthy and more accessible. Let's take a look at the incredible work being done across the globe by ocean organisations.
The 2021 Conservation Action Focus is protecting at least 30% of our blue planet for a healthy ocean and climate.
With your help and that of hundreds of other organizations worldwide, we will support and grow the global movement to protect at least 30% of our blue planet by 2030 (“30×30”). A healthy ocean is a critical part of the solution to the climate crisis. By supporting 30×30, we can protect our planet’s life support systems – specifically the interconnected issues of ocean, climate, and biodiversity.
Decisions about the future of our blue planet are being made this year by world leaders, and they need to hear from you! The actions that our leaders take (or fail to take) this year will determine the health of our blue planet and security of future generations for decades to come.

Surfers Against Sewage have released their video Thank You Sea to celebrate our oceans and gives us further perspective on why we should be protecting 30×30.
Starboard SUP are getting involved within World Ocean Day for Schools.
Across four days from Tuesday 8th of June to Friday 11th June, World Oceans Day for schools will be sharing activities, ocean lessons, live-streamed workshops and creative projects for everyone!
The partners of World Oceans Day for school will be running the sessions. Furthermore, it is time to get excited to see what the Ocean Conservation Trust & National Marine Aquarium, Common Seas, Marine Stewardship Council and the Marine Conservation Society are going to be sharing!
