I purchased the Soliel. Author obviously have not used. Terrible board. The bottom is not flat, two air bladders not flush. Big ugly raised rubber logo on the bottom of the board. But smooth on top where I slide off when I go around the mast. No foot straps, other WindSUP have removable straps. The giant nose on the board means it neither tracks well as a windsurfers or as a surfboard. I own a SUP rental shop, this is a boilerplate review by some desk jockey. It was the same desk jockey mentality behind this poorly designed board. There… Read more »
Wrote a clear review but you afraid of the truth.
Hey Christopher. Thanks for your comment and review of the board. Sorry for delay on getting it up online we have to approve all comments and we only do this once a week. All comments always go online.
When you say there are bumps under the board? Are these the two bump that are under the inflation valves.
Im the deck jockey that did the review and I found the board worked well for low level inflatable windsurf and SUP board.
But thanks for feedback and sorry to hear you are not getting on with the board.
Underside of the board, the seams indent the surface between the bladders & together with the raised rubber logo creates a LOT of drag. At low performance maybe not noticed. The fin boxes accepts no aftermarket fins and the fins provided will only be adequate with sails 3-5M. Too bad because it could be fun with a 7M sail. That said, why should I drop $200 on two adaptors to get more performance. I own a rental shop of SUPs, the Soliel does nothing well. Neither surfs well or tracks well with it’s big fat nose. No foot strap options.… Read more »
I completely agree that the Starboard boards are much better.
For us, we were hoping the review was going to be showing the Aztron as a board that works well as a cheap price point board to do very basic low level windsurfing and SUPing with. I don’t believe that the board has been designed or would work with sails above 5M. Like you say there really isn’t enough rail shape and a dagger board to make it work.
Question… Interested to know if you bought this board because of this review, for your school?
